- 이 원료는 Nicotiana benthamiana의 DNA에 사람 유전자복제본을 유전자도입(Transgenesis, DNA에 사람 유전자 복제본을 안정하게 삽입) 또는 일과성 발현 시스템(transient expression system)으로 형질전환하여 얻은 단일사슬 재조합 휴먼펩타이드와 헥사펩타이드-40을 융합하여 얻은 펩타이드이다. 출발 유전자는 Collagen Alpha-1을 코딩하는 사람 유전자와 동일한 코드를 갖도록 합성된 것으로 최대 1,669개의 아미노산으로 이루어져 있다. 융합펩타이드는 글라이코실화 및/또는 다이설파이드결합을 포함할 수 있는 116개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있다. 그 단백질을 구성하는 아미노산의 종류는 표준아미노산이다.
